Welcome to Rutlands Hotel Blackpool

Old and New Rutlands Hotel Blackpool

Rutlands Hotel, 13 Hornby Road, Blackpool, with it's fully-licensed bar, is run by Lorraine Rogers with help from family and friends. Our Tourist Board Three Diamond Rated hotel is extremely central, merely two minutes away from the Sea Front and Tower. Also, within easy walking distance are The Winter Gardens, Central Pier, North Pier, theatres, nightclubs and Blackpool's main shopping centre. Due to it's central location, adjacent to the resort's largest warden-patrolled car park, Hornby Road is one of Blackpool's most sought-after and popular holiday locations.

Rutlands Hotel is fully centrally heated with each room having it's own en-suite. Our rooms are comfortable and we can offer family, double, twin and single rooms which have tea/coffee making facilities and a TV.

Our dining room is warm. light and airy and seats up to 32 people comfortably. We are proud of our traditional, Full English Breakfast which satisfies our guests and sets them up for Blackpool's multitude of attractions and activities until ready for their evening meal. We offer a 3-course evening meal, consisting of soup with bread roll, main course and dessert followed by tea/coffee.

At Rutlands Hotel we are proud of our cosy bar, which offers in-house entertainment in the evenings, catering for guests of all ages. We hold party nights, karaoke, "crazy" bingo, discos, charades, sing-a-long and generally have lots of fun up to midnight.  Entertainment is subject to numbers and is not held every evening.

We have a very comfortable sun-lounge with TV for guests who wish simply to sit, relax and watch the world go by.

We offer a five day Christmas House Party with traditional Christmas Fayre, in-house and cabaret entertainment along with the usual fun that the Rutlands prides itself upon. A three day New Year's House Party is also available as above and early booking for both of these events is highly recommended in order to avoid disappointment.

We recently found some photographs of our hotel c1940, then called 'Rutland House'. While the hotel has of course been modernised it's nice to see some parts of the building can still be seen. If you swap the images by passing your mouse over the picture to the left you can see we still have the iron railings in place and the roof line remains the same. There are other pictures, the dining room and a tariff of charges from the same date when the Proprietress was Mrs. S Fawkes and Bed and Breakfast cost just 3/6.
